TISSNET is an Entrance Exam at all India Level for admissions to Post Graduate degree programmes(MA,MHA,MPH,M.Sc.) in TISS(Tata Institute of Social Science). These are the courses which are offered by various campuses in Mumbai, Guwahati and other locations like Hyderabad. The Hyderabad, Mumbai and Guwahati campuses have high quality instructing and research facilities as well as faculties.
The TISSNET is a National Entrance test which is computer based. So basically the term TISSNET stands for Tata Institute of Social Science National Entrance Test.
It is conducted across the country in 39 centers. Since the test is a computer type test, even the students or candidates with a little bit of knowledge about computer can appear for the test.
The objective type test will have objective questions concerning General Knowledge, Analytical Ability, Logical Reasoning and English Proficiency.
Changes Introduced for TISSNET 2017
There will be no negative marking in the TISSNET 2017 including the HRM. Candidates who might have applied for multiple programmes or even a single programme, all of them will have to go through the same paper which will be containing the same number of questions, format.
There will be 100 questions and total time will also be of 100 minutes i.e. an hour and 40 minutes which means that there will be 1 minute for each question.

TISSNET 2017 Eligibility Criteria
-Pass class in the bachelor’s degree in which the candidate had appeared before will be taken to determine the eligibility.
-Candidates who have been declared as fail in their last final exams will not be considered eligible for appearing in this exam.
-Once the information is submitted by the candidate, the eligibility criteria will be determined on the basis of that and will be considered as final for the test and pre interview tests and the interview itself.
-If a provisionally admitted candidate fails in the final exams of his/her bachelor’s degree, the candidature of that candidate will be cancelled and that seat will be given to the next candidate in the waiting list.
Note:Till the candidate has submitted his/her bachelor’s degree’s final marksheet, the admission won’t be considered successful.
TISSNET 2017 Exam Pattern
Since it has been mentioned above that the question paper will consist of General Awareness,English Proficiency,Maths and Logical Reasoning, the marking scheme or the number of questions coming per subject are described below :
-General Awareness : 40 Marks
-English Proficiency : 30 Marks
-Maths and Logical Reasoning : 30 Marks.
So the question will be of 100 marks consisting of 100 questions which means that each question will be of 1 mark.
