JEE Main 2018 Application Form

Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) is one of the most popular entrance exam in the India. JEE Main is going to conduct by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). JEE Main 2018 is going to conduct for the admission of the candidates into various engineering course such as B.E., B.Tech and B.Arch courses. Candidates who wants to make their career in the engineering field then they can apply for the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main. Every year, Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) conducted this exam and thousands of students appeared in the exam. JEE Main 2018-2019 Application Fees

The application fees can be paid by the online mode for the online paper and offline mode can be used for the offline paper. The application fees for written exam and computer based test is given below:

The application Fees is only for 1 exam (either Paper 1 or Paper 2):

Offline Exam ( Written Test):

  • Application Fees for the General’s Category Candidates (Boys) is Rs. 1000
  • Application Fees for the SC, ST and All Girls Category Candidates is Rs.500
  • Application Fees for the General’s Category Candidates (Boys) opted center in Foreign countries is Rs. 2500
  • Application Fees for the SC, ST and All Girls Category Candidates opted center in Foreign countries is Rs.1250

Online Exam ( Computer Based Test ):

  • Application Fees for the General’s Category Candidates (Boys) is Rs. 500
  • Application Fees for the SC, ST and All Girls Category Candidates is Rs. 250
  • Application Fees for the General’s Category Candidates (Boys) opted center in Foreign countries is Rs. 2500

JEE Main 2018-2019 Eligibility Criteria

Age Limit:

  • Those candidates were born on or after 1st October 1993 are eligible to apply for the JEE Main 2018.
  • There is a age relaxation of 5 years for the SC, ST or PWD candidates it means candidates were born on or after 1st October 1988 are eligible to apply for the JEE Main 2018.

Educational Qualifications:

  • Candidate must clear his 12th Standard with physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and English subjects from any recognized Board of Education.
  • Diploma holders can also apply for the JEE Main but they can only apply for admission in the IITs.
  • There will be only 3 attempts to appear in the examination.

JEE Main 2018-2019 Exam Pattern

Paper 1:

The duration of the paper 1 will be 180 minutes. There will be total 90 questions and each question carried 4 marks. The total marks of the paper 1 is 360 marks. There will be three sections of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. There will be negative marking also. For every incorrect answer, 1 mark will be deducted. This is a written (pen – paper based) test and a computer based test. Paper 1 is conducted for the admission of the candidates into the B.E. or B.Tech courses.

Paper 2:

The duration of the paper 1 will be 180 minutes. There will be total 82 questions and each question carried 4 marks. The total marks of the paper 1 is 328 marks. There will be negative marking also. For every incorrect answer, 1 mark will be deducted. This is a written (pen – paper based) test. Paper 2 is conducted for the admission of the candidates into the B.Arch or B.Planning courses.

How to fill JEE Main 2018 Application Form

  • Firstly, candidate have to go the official portal of the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main i.e. jeemain.nic.in
  • Click on the apply option
  • Choose JEE Main 2018 Application Form and select the paper 1 or paper 2 or both
  • Then fill all the details into the application form and upload all the documents
  • Click on the submit button
  • And pay the application fees
  • Candidate can save the application form for future.
