CLAT stands for Common law Admission Test. Total nine versions of this test have been conducted so far and this test is the most prestigious and famous entrance exam regarding the law admissions all across the country. This entrance exam is conducted for both under graduate courses as well as post graduate courses. CLAT 2017 Eligibility Criteria
For UG Programmes:
-The candidates who are looking for applying for UG programmes should have managed to passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with a minimum of 45% marks.In case the candidate belongs to the reserved/OBC/SAP categories or below it, needs to have attained a minimum of 40% belong to the SC/ST category.
-Candidates who are appearing for 10+2 examination or equivalent exam are also eligible and can also apply for the examination.
-Also, ensure that the candidates manage to show the passing or the qualifying proof in the examinations at the time of admission.
For PG Programmes:
-Those who have passed the LL.B. or equivalent degree to LLB with a minimum of 55% marks in the aggregate of all the subjects and candidates belonging to the categories such as reserved/OBC/SAP can fill the application form and a minimum of 50% marks in the aggregate of all subjects.
-The candidates who are applying for appearing in the examination an also apply for CLAT 2017
-Candidates are asked and have to show the certifications of the qualifying examination during the time of admission.
-There is no age limit specified for this exam.
CLAT 2017 Exam Pattern
The entrance exam for the CLAT 2017 will have the division of marks as specified below :
-English Comprehension will be of 40 marks.
-General Knowledge and Current Affairs will be coming for 50 Marks.
-Elementary Mathematics including Numerical Ability will have a total weightage of 20 Marks.
-Legal Aptitude will take up an amount of 50 Marks.
-Logical Reasoning will be for a total of 40 Marks.
-The exam will be of total of 200 marks.
CLAT 2017 Application Fee
-Candidates who belong to the category with no reservation will have to pay an amount of Rs. 4,000 as an application form fee.
-Candidates belonging to the reserved category will have to spend an amount of Rs. 3,500.
-Amount for application form should be paid via challan or through online mode. There may be additional charges for the transitions.
-There are absolutely zero chances for the Fee getting refunded.
