AP PGECET actually stands for Andhra Pradesh Post Graduate Engineering Common Entrance Test. As the name itself specifies, that this exam is conducted in order to help the candidates to get admitted in the Post Graduate Engineering, Pharmacy, Technology Courses in the state of Andhra Pradesh.
This entrance examination is held every year for a new session but the update or the notification for the same entrance examination for the year 2017 hasn’t officially or unofficially been announced. But, as soon as the official notification regarding this exam is made public, the candidates will be free to go visit the official website of this common entrance exam and fill out the application form and register for appearing in the examination. The admissions in the Andhra Pradesh University in the post graduate engineering courses or any of the other leftover courses are only made possible through this prestigious entrance examination. There isn’t any other way for an applicant to directly get an admission in this university in the post graduate Engineering, Pharmacy, Technology courses. This entrance exam is one of the most prestigious and important exam. AP PGECET 2017 Eligibility Criteria

The candidates who are willing to get admissions into this university must satisfy the eligibility criteria for being able to appear in the examination.Failing to do so and still giving the entrance examination may result in 100% cancellation of the candidature of the candidate. These criterion are prefixed and decided by the exam conducting body.
The eligibility criteria for this exam is as follows :

Nationality : The candidate should be an Indian National which means that the candidate can either be a resident of India, a Non residential of India or may be an OCI Card holder.The candidate must fall in at least
one of these situations in order to be eligible to appear in the entrance examination.
-The candidate should also be a local of the state of Andhra Pradesh.

Educational Qualification :The candidates who are in possession of their bachelor’s degree or the candidates/applicants who seem to be appearing in the final year of the same bachelor’s degree are eligible for appearing in this entrance examination.
-The candidate appearing in the final year of his/her bachelor’s Degree can give the entrance exam and if qualifies, he/she should have cleared their degree by the time, the counselling for the admissions starts.

Note :There are many post graduate courses, hence, the educational qualification per course may vary, but since it is an entrance exam for post graduate admissions, it is necessary for a candidate to have the bachelor’s degree of the same course to which they wanna stick to while doing their post graduate.

AP PGECET 2017 Exam Pattern

-Each question will carry one mark which means that the whole exam is going to be of maximum 120 marks.
-The question paper will only be in English Language.
-The time duration for this entrance exam will be of 2 hours i.e. 120 minutes which means that a candidate will have minimum of 1 minute to spend with a question.
